Regenerative Agriculture Fund

This is another foundation I wasn’t aware of but I’ve heard of their grantees. They fund food system change, primarily in the Northeast. Though they give small grants ($10,00 - $15,000), they seem to understand the importance of fixing the food system.

MISSION: To foster the economic, policy, and knowledge conditions that support land stewardship, provide climate solutions, protect freshwater and oceans, advance racial equity and a just economy, support thriving rural communities, and sustain diverse human and ecological life.

Neesha’s Notes

RAF was created with initial funding from the 11th Hour Project of the Schmidt Family Foundation. Other funding partners include the Cedar Tree Foundation, TomKat Ranch Educational Foundation, Globetrotter Fund, and Armonia LLC.

They fund systems-level changemakers such as Fibershed - an organization that implements climate beneficial agriculture rebuilds regional manufacturing and connects end-users through direct educational offerings.

FOR GRANTMAKERS

There is an untapped opportunity to scale promising solutions to climate change by pooling philanthropic funds into one catalytic vehicle. Non-dilutive capital would be transformational especially if it is used correctly. This is the type of conversation Impact Stars is facilitating for funders to prevent the duplication of effort and save applicants time.
