Product/Market Sprint

FACILITATED BY NEESHA

Find out what your customers actually want to buy from you and build that.

When you have product-market fit, everything else becomes 100x easier.

This is what we work on during this done-with-you facilitated sprint in 30 business days.

When you get to the other side of this intense customer discovery and validation work, it’s easier to:

  • Win funding

  • Attract talent and partners

  • Deliver outcomes

Headshot of Neesha Mirchandani, Founder of Impact Stars and Creator of the Magnetic Pitch Method

Hi! I’m Neesha, founder of Impact Stars, and creator of the Magnetic Pitch Method. I’m on a mission to make it much easier for impact entrepreneurs to attract the CAPITAL and CUSTOMERS they need to succeed.

I create all my strategy sprints with climate, energy transition, biodiversity, oceans, the circular economy, and regeneration systems changers in mind.

The goal of this particular sprint is to talk to key customers and find out what their hair-on-fire problems are.

Will they actually buy?

Sounds simple, but most businesses and nonprofits skip this crucial step.

By the end of the sprint, you will walk away with 100% clarity on what the market needs and what you need to do to deliver on it.

Plus, you will know how to communicate your offer with your ideal audience using their own words.

Phase #1: Research & Validation

What do customers want?

It’s likely that you’ve immersed yourself in the weeds of your innovation.

It’s hard to step back and see the forest for the trees.

We find out what the market needs.

Phase #2: Develop the New Offer

This includes product development (or reconfiguration)

We iterate based on customer feedback.

Yes, this is the messy middle.

But on the other side of it, is crystal clarity on your value proposition.

Phase #3: Build Communication Assets

  • The proof is in the pudding: let’s take the offer live and sell it.

  • This is where all the work we did starts to feel tangible and real.

  • Sales is the best validation! Investors, grant makers, strategic partners — all find it irresistible.

A customer-validated strategy is a 10x asset because it’s not a ‘build it and maybe they’ll come’ approach.

But it does require 30 business days of intense research, testing, and calibration. Don’t worry - we take weekends off!

Only sign up if you are ready to do the work. Sometimes, customers may not tell you what you want to hear. Are you okay with that?

I’ll be standing by with smelling salts, don’t worry! But I’m not here to sell you rainbows and unicorns - this process is rigorous and I will be honest with you.

The Product/Market Validation Sprint is a step-by-step process that will help you get to your goal. But you need to be ready to do the work and listen to the market.

Sometimes you find a bigger opportunity than you previously imagined. But you do have to kill a few of your darlings first.

With the economic winds hinting at a downturn, the Funding Hill will get even harder to climb — so a fully-validated product may be the difference between funders chasing you versus you chasing them.

WHY BOTHER?

By deeply understanding how your audience thinks and anticipating their fears, uncertainties, and doubts, you learn to build the right offer, and then communicate it effectively while staying in integrity with yourself and your mission.

We invite you to take off your Rose-Colored Entrepreneur-Visionary Glasses and think like your customers for 30 business days.

The sprint will likely change the way you build products for the rest of your entrepreneurial career.

THE RESULT?

We will be able to answer the questions in your customer’s head and dissolve all objections before they become obstacles.

Hear what Brenna had to say about just one session with Neesha, your facilitator for this sprint experience.

In her case, her ‘customers’ were investors but the same methodology works no matter your audience:

“They asked me:

"Are you the same person who pitched to us two weeks ago?"

Because of the absolute transformation that had happened both with my pitch deck and with my confidence.

I was having a conversation, and not so much just rattling off facts.

So what Neesha gave me was truly priceless.

As a founder we often feel like everything is on our shoulders.

You know, people will give you a piece of advice or criticism, but they won't really tell you how to fix those holes or those gaps or those mistakes that you're making.

Neesha, on the other hand, well, she will show you and she will tell you how to fix them.

I could not be more grateful to Neesha… she is so unique in the way that she helps founders. And so the best decision you could possibly make for your business is to listen to her and to take her advice.”

What do you walk away with?

3 Assets:

  1. Customer Validation Interviews: All the evidence you need to build your product as well as the exact words your audience uses to describe their pain points.

  2. Communication Asset: A marketing web page that explains the value proposition to your target audience.

  3. Video Deck: a high-level version of slides with your voiceover, that you can email to cold leads, to get them interested in your product.

The first thing we’ll do is validate your business to make sure you’re building something customers will buy and investors will fund:

Is this just another course?

Nope. we hate courses because we never finish them.

This is a step-by-step sprint where you actually get things done.

Do the work once during the product/market validation sprint and reuse it again and again.

It’s not right for you if…

  1. You don’t plan to do the work: Like with anything, you have to take action to see results. Are you willing to show up and be ‘all-in?’

  2. You don’t like to hear the truth: For example, you may find out that you need to pivot. Are you willing to do that?

  3. You aren’t coachable: Some founders are so in love with their ideas that they find it hard to consider other perspectives or ways of seeing things. Are you open to the possibilities?

FAQs

  • Not at all. It is focused on the fundamentals of your business, and once that core thesis is strong, you can use it as the foundation for your grant proposals, your applications to prizes, and your customer presentations.

  • What you put in is what you will get out of this process. So while we can’t guarantee results, we will do everything in our power to help you succeed. This is a facilitated version of the sprint, so you are getting regular meetings with us to guide you to through the process.
